Chris Middlehurst our favourite Formula Renault driver has claimed an early lead this year after finishing 1st in Race 1 and 2nd in Race 2 in the 2013 Protyre Formula Renault Championship at Donington Park on Sunday.

Well done Chris! Keep it up!

Two of our clients joined forces recently at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Classic Team Lotus gave a very special opportunity to Chris Middlehurst. He drove the historic Lotus 72 F1 Car (Emerson Fittipaldi's Championship Wining Car) through the famous Goodwood grounds.

The 101 Website Design & Development sponsored driver also drove the Lotus 92 (Nigel Mansell's car) which is privately owned by Roger Wills. To drive a classic Lotus and to drive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed are both great honours for any driver and to do both in one day must have been very special for Chris.

We are proud to sponsor a rising star in the motorsport world, Chris Middlehurst. Chris races in the 2012 Protyre Formula Renault BARC championship for Middlehurst Motorsport. Chris' father, Andy Middlehurst was a successful racer on both two and four wheels. In the early 80's he competed in Formula Ford racing wheel to wheel with the likes of Ayrton Senna before switching to Saloon Car Racing. Chris' career is already impressive; he won the 2011 Formula Ford 1600 Championship and the 2011 North West Formula Ford 1600 Championship. All this in just his first season after graduating from Go Karts.

Chris contested his first race weekend of the year over the Easter bank holiday and despite reliability issues managed to score a solid haul of points. The Norfolk weather was less than pleasant but Chris kept a cool head and kept his Formula Renault pointing in the right direction.
